Hi, I’m Will Johnson, and I’m thrilled to be part of the governing board as the Staff Governor.

I’ve been working at New Swannington for four years, developing my skills as a Learning Support Assistant.  During my time here, I’ve achieved my Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship, Level 3 Forest School Practitioner, and Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualifications.  I’m currently pursuing my Level 5 Specialist Teaching Assistant Qualification, focusing on Phonics as my specialist area.

During the school day, I mainly support the children in Year 5.  However, I also provide cover for teachers in all Year Groups when necessary, lead Forest School sessions and support our wraparound care provision.  Through these roles, I have developed great relationships with all the children and continue to enjoy supporting their education and learning.

I look forward to offering a fresh perspective on the board as well as representing the staff in our school.
