Our Infant children shine like superstars in this year's nativity play.
They have been really excited to perform their nativity play to our school, parents and grandparents.
Rachel Greaves, author and illustrator of ‘Ruffle the Rail Dog’ visited New Swannington on Monday. Rachel led an assembly to share her books and talk about being an author and illustrator.
The children asked her lots of questions and loved hearing about the adventures of Ruffle.

Our last day at Kingswood. Up and off to breakfast. After breakfast, we stripped our bedding and took it to the laundry. Then we packed our bags and took them to the coach park.
After a good night's sleep, we were into the swing of the morning routine. Up, breakfast and room inspection. Today's inspection bore similar results to yesterday, but the overall winner for the week was one of the boy's rooms!!
Up and into our now familiar routine of breakfast and room inspection. The rooms were a even better than yesterday! Then it was off for another packed day of activities.
Our first full day with plenty of activities to look forward to.
After a long 4 hour journey, we arrived at Kingswood.
The Harvest Festival held at our school was a huge success! The children, staff and parents did the school proud, raising £160 which will be donated to the Air Ambulance.
Thank you all for your support and donations.
Congratulations to everyone who completed the Coalville Library Summer Reading Challenge 2017. New Swannington Primary School had the most children completing the challenge from schools in the local area. A member of staff from Coalville Library presented us with the cup for the third year in a row. Fantastic!
