Red Ridge - Wednesday

Another full day of fun and challenging activities.

We must be getting tired, as we had to be woken up this morning!  Our now usual routine of room inspection and breakfast. A slight improvement on the rooms this morning.  Cereal & full English fuelled us up for the day.

This morning's activity was the High Ropes course.  This included Zip Wire - stepping off and whizzing across the field; Climbing Wall; Abseiling - free abseil from the top of the tower; Pole Climb - a scary and very challenging climb up a telegraph pole to stand on the top; High Swing - leaping off the tower to swing into a cargo net; and a variety of lower ropes bridge balances.

A lot of these needed us to challenge ourselves and we did really well with most people completing all the activities.  A lot of 'Chocolate Challenges' were won.

After lunch we went to the lake for Kayaking.  We got into single or double kayaks and learned how to paddle them.  We also played a few games on the water...and no-one fell in!

After dinner of Fish & Chips, we headed out for our evening activity which was Orienteering.  We had to use map reading skills to find markers around the Centre....in the dark.

After that it was time for hot chocolate and a few games in the dining hall before bed.
